Yanek is the boy in prisoner B-3087. He was 13 when he was taken to be in a concentration camp named plazow. Yanek was separated from all his family because all he had was his uncle moshe who had died. Yanek was taken to many camps in total it was about ten concentration camps. He spent a lot of time in train cars filled with disease, mud and worst of all alive and dead human beings. they would even drop bread in through the roof and watch them fight for it like dogs. when yanek was not working or in a train car he was walking to another concentration camp. with only little bread and if they were lucky they would go through a kind neighbor hood that would leave there left over food but still then they would have to fight for the food. this happened for about eight years but in 1945 the camps were liberated and they were taken to a place called Munich. where he met up with a lady he had once known before. After talking to her for a while she told him about the family he had left. who had survived the war. Then he left Munich to go visit them after living with them he came to america and changed his name to jack. and somewhere around this time he met his wife Ruth. who is also a holocaust survivor who was kept in hiding for years.
